After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Gigel Oros hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horea Malcocea in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Malcocea came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luca Iosif prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 18 in the game by Axel Tasis from a close distance when the talented Luca Iosif managed to make a qualified save. FERRARI's players were relieved. After 19 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. Luca Iosif made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 21st minute of play. Vasile Geambașu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Luca Iosif made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 27th minute. Octav Zglimbea's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Zglimbea helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes FERRARI got a freekick which was hit by Octav Zglimbea. 32 minutes into the match, FERRARI's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Luca Iosif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octav Zglimbea might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benito Sanz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octav Zglimbea ran back to his position shaking his head. Octav Zglimbea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Malcocea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Horea Malcocea to make the kick off. Horea Malcocea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stasio Makomaski was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. FERRARI's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 56 played minutes FERRARI got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Geambașu. Eliseo Noboa might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luca Iosif. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Noboa ran back to his position shaking his head. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horea Malcocea got free with Benito Sanz in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Horea Malcocea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-1 in the 68 minute of play. After 74 minutes of play, FERRARI's Horea Malcocea made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 78th minute of the match Axel Tasis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luca Iosif showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horea Malcocea's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Horea Malcocea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horea Malcocea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 87 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horea Malcocea. 90 minutes into the match, FERRARI's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Tasis came free, but Luca Iosif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FERRARI's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
