In the 10th minute Cristobal Lalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Cristobal Lalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LA InDuStRiA INC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute, Igor Medero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to LA InDuStRiA INC's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Tomas Illescas tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Raimundo Obano seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. 3-1 came in the 61st minute when Tomas Illescas all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Raimundo Obano. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raimundo Obano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristobal Lalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Obano having to interfere. 80 minutes into the game, Guillermo Mariano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Igor Medero during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristobal Lalla struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA InDuStRiA INC. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
