A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Macos Graciani hit a great ball. Maximo Villamarin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Lacasa having to make a save. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximo Villamarin in the 15th minute of play. Dawid Ratulowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Red Reign booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Mexico's Alberto Tafalla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Red Reign's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lopez Portanares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which Dawid Ratulowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Macos Graciani made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Red Reign's Armando Hera. In the 66th minute, Xosepe Villamizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 69th minute of play forced Red Reign's goalkeeper Dawid Ratulowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Dawid Ratulowski threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lopez Portanares hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Red Reign made a substitution. Derlis Florentin replaced Zigor Ardanza.
