A throw-in in the 11th minute of the game was made by Alex Chicote with Tomas Illescas as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Maximo Villamarin came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Red Reign fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Villamarin couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Villamarin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavion Sorriva was slow to take the kick. During this time Red Reign's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Maximo Villamarin came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 37 minutes into the game, Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 40 minutes into the game, Maximo Villamarin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Maximo Villamarin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 65 minutes of play, Red Reign's Maximo Villamarin made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dawid Ratulowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Red Reign made a substitution. Ismael Blanco replaced Xosepe Villamizar. 78 minutes into the match, Maximo Villamarin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximo Villamarin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maximo Villamarin in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. The attack was good, but when Maximo Villamarin in the 89th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Maximo Villamarin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Red Reign had won after a very even match.
