In the 17th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moises Fernandino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luciano Azeari read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. El Salvador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mateo Leguizamo in the 20th minute. It was a well-played corner which Abram Luque managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Amador Mundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. Jorge Magrina kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Barrilete Cósmico's Luciano Azeari got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abram Luque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Azeari having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Moises Fernandino made a kick off. Jonatan Cuarto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Zorita having to make a save. El Salvador's Moises Fernandino got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Marciano Rey sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ricardo Zorita threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Marciano Rey this time. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Luciano Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Mateo Leguizamo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Azeari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Tamayo's late challenge caught a Barrilete Cósmico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Tamayo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Marco Tamayo hit a great ball. El Salvador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Jonatan Cuarto scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo Zorita, making the score, 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Abram Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Luque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Azeari breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 88 minutes, Victoriano Jakes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrilete Cósmico and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Barrilete Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victoriano Jakes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Mateo Leguizamo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Azeari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luciano Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the match was over Barrilete Cósmico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than El Salvador throughout the match.
