Wagner Vaida didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Wagner Vaida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. In the 17th minute, Ribeiro Sales FC's Cauã Vasconcelos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Julio Vera. Julio Vera yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Ribeiro Sales FC's Wagner Vaida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauã Vasconcelos got free with Julio Vera in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Ribeiro Sales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Wagner Vaida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wagner Vaida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, Murilo Bueno notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Wagner Vaida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Ribeiro Sales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marek Strandberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 46 played minutes Ribeiro Sales FC got a freekick which was hit by Rudolph Flege. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 51stth minute tested the skills of Wagner Vaida when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Wagner Vaida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 52nd minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wagner Vaida having to interfere. Cauã Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wagner Vaida made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Bueno came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murilo Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Bueno in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Murilo Bueno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. With a little luck, Ribeiro Sales FC's Wagner Vaida got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wagner Vaida made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murilo Bueno in the 92nd minute of the match. After 94 minutes of play, Ribeiro Sales FC's Murilo Bueno made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Ribeiro Sales FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
