Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kuddusî Yalgın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bostanci FK's Kuddusî Yalgın played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 23rd minute of play. Kuddusî Yalgın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kuddusî Yalgın. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Yusuf Tükelay kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bostanci FK's Özer Tamerk got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Metehan Bilgin hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Kuddusî Yalgın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Olaf Ciborek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Olaf Ciborek made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 95 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kuddusî Yalgın narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
