Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Elite Azulgrana's Pastor Sagrario started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute of the game Miguel Lesardo made a throw-in which Juan Ignacio Mercier played forward. 7 minutes into the match, Pastor Sagrario notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dionisio Ondino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dionisio Ondino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Pastor Sagrario sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romulo Jayvier during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Elite Azulgrana getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Romulo Jayvier hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Sagrario in the 31st minute of play. During the 33rd minute of the match Romulo Jayvier completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Romulo Jayvier a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Romulo Jayvier hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Elite Azulgrana booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, Elite Azulgrana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Cristos to maneuver through the defense. Dionisio Ondino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Aureliano Loramendi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elite Azulgrana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aureliano Loramendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Elite Azulgrana's Mauro Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Cristos during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Elite Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Cristos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jose Correa came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Correa couldn't finish the play. After 67 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. In the 68thth minute of the game Pastor Sagrario who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Dionisio Ondino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elite Azulgrana's Dionisio Ondino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute of play. The Elite Azulgrana supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elite Azulgrana would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
