After having played for 27 minutes, Karlus Waugh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jamaica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karlus Waugh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luciano Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finlay Stair, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Romon Oliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. After a defensive mix-up in Jamaica's zone, Jonatan Cuarto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal and Jonatan Cuarto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amador Mundo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Finlay Stair lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Luciano Azeari. Jamaall Padmore hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonatan Cuarto in the 42nd minute of the match. Jamaall Padmore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luciano Azeari. Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Barrilete Cósmico's Amador Mundo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Jarell Hill was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Jamaica's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Karlus Waugh fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Karlus Waugh a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Karlus Waugh hit a great ball. Demonde Jacobson made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jonatan Cuarto sent off a good shot on target. After 54 minutes of play Jamaica's Karlus Waugh was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 55th minute, Karlus Waugh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute of the match Geroy Ascue shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Azeari showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jarell Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Javan Develder's late challenge caught a Barrilete Cósmico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Javan Develder helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jamaica fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 64th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Barrilete Cósmico a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marciano Rey, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. 1-2. Finlay Stair blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luciano Azeari having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Cuarto got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luciano Azeari showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarell Hill in the 78th minute of the match. Finlay Stair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Luciano Azeari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarell Hill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Azeari having to interfere.
