The Barrilete Cósmico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Azeari should have stopped the shot. Moises Fernandino scored 2-0 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luciano Azeari, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Luciano Azeari in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Barrilete Cósmico's Amador Mundo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Moises Fernandino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes of play, Barrilete Cósmico's Jonatan Cuarto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luciano Azeari made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute El Salvador were awarded a corner. Mateo Leguizamo went to the cornerflag to take it. 37 minutes into the match, Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper Luciano Azeari had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. After a rather tough play, Barrilete Cósmico's Epifanio Orkatz got a free kick in the 40th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Fernandino was the one to do the kick off. Luciano Azeari showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abram Luque, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Abram Luque scored 3-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luciano Azeari, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 59 minutes, Abram Luque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abram Luque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute, Abram Luque ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Azeari was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco Tamayo during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 67 minutes, Epifanio Orkatz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrilete Cósmico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Epifanio Orkatz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Moises Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luciano Azeari. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Abram Luque got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Jonatan Cuarto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Moises Fernandino hit a great ball. Victoriano Jakes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Arnaldo Vistruario made in the 95th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Epifanio Orkatz. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Salvador fans cheered their team off the field, for while Barrilete Cósmico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
