Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. The supporters of Yalapa booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Indiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Fermin Dolfo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Colombia's Pedro Manzanares. In the 78th minute of the match Yalapa got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Olaf Gall ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 81st minute, Olaf Gall left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yalapa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Abram Secada struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Basri İhtiyar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. When Kevin Mastache came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Colombia fans jumped to their feet. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samuel Tome, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Yalapa's Basri İhtiyar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santino Seco in the 94th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Samuel Tome made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Yalapa had won after a very even match.
