After some careless play in the Sletteenge defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerhart Krainert. The Sletteenge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerhart Krainert should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robin Leiholt in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Leiholt came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Gerhart Krainert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mexico's Joel Gaona sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerhart Krainert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 14th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 17th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Gerhart Krainert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Sletteenge's Wagn Nytoft nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 20 minutes into the game, Joel Gaona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gerhart Krainert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wagn Nytoft in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Gaona in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerhart Krainert saved Sletteenge from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Sletteenge's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerhart Krainert came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fritz Grauholt to make the kick off. With a little luck, Sletteenge's Gerhart Krainert got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Leiholt in the 51st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Gerhart Krainert threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gerhart Krainert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 58th minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Sletteenge's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. After a rather tough play, Sletteenge's Anton Fridolin got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gerhart Krainert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wagn Nytoft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerhart Krainert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joel Gaona went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Sletteenge's Timo Mangelsen was substituted for Jacob Lubfeldt. 78 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Wilhelm Blegvad came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 84th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Gerhart Krainert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sletteenge's Gerhart Krainert got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
