Venancio Cesario came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Poncio in the 23rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Venancio Cesario, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yofré AFC's Venancio Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. Yofré AFC's Venancio Cesario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Gayoso in the 52nd minute of play. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes Yofré AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Eliseo Mina was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 61st minute, Julian Murillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yofré AFC:s Venancio Cesario showed great skill when he stopped Eliseo Mina:s penalty. In the 99th minute, Orlando Lizardi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yofré AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peru had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
