Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Capo de Provincia's David Villa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eliseo Mina took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Héctor Barra. Héctor Barra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Héctor Barra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. Héctor Barra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 9th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Héctor Barra saved Capo de Provincia from getting behind. The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Héctor Barra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of the match. The throw-in from Carlo Valdivieso in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Alejandro Martxelin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Alejandro Martxelin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Héctor Barra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Héctor Barra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milagros Fraga, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Capo de Provincia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Julian Murillo scored 0-3 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Héctor Barra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlo Valdivieso made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Fructuoso Acedo. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Peru would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
