Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 顾超斐 in the 42nd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Eliseo Noboa with Alan Moruga as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when 沈悦云 made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ding 曾诚 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 顾超斐, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 孙烽烨 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by 俞迅天 in the 62nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 顾超斐 in the 65th minute of the match. 沈悦云 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 72nd minute, 俞迅天 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Alexander Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. When the match was over 贵州安顺超音速代表队 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
