César Pretot ran over to the corner to take the kick. Capo de Provincia's Tao Han was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jose Manzanedo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Capo de Provincia's Alejandro Martxelin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thiago Pliego was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejandro Martxelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Héctor Barra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Capo de Provincia's Héctor Barra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Capo de Provincia's zone, Mariano Lacasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Héctor Barra came out of the goal and Mariano Lacasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Martxelin in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Martxelin came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's Alejandro Martxelin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Qiao Qi got a free kick in the 49th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Alejandro Martxelin made the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 54 minutes into the game, when Gerardo Pozo put in a rough tackle. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chile! Héctor Barra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Casaus went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Capo de Provincia's Luis Jiménez was substituted for Alejandro Martxelin. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Jiménez, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, Capo de Provincia's Carlo Valdivieso got a free kick in the 75th minute. When Luis Jiménez came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Capo de Provincia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Jiménez couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Capo de Provincia's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Casaus came free, but Héctor Barra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Riquelme in the 99th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
