The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dionisio Ondino. That made the score 1-0 after 11 minutes of play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pastor Sagrario's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Dionisio Ondino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of the match. Luis Andino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dionisio Ondino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Cristian Sancho took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Dionisio Ondino to make any attempt to save it. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Sagrario in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Aureliano Loramendi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elite Azulgrana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Dionisio Ondino made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. The wind increased when Pastor Sagrario made the kick off in the second half. Mauro Matos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Pastor Sagrario tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dionisio Ondino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 63rd minute of play. When Pastor Sagrario came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Elite Azulgrana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pastor Sagrario couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Ondino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match.
