With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Abel Ramalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Abel Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. In the 12th minute, Abel Ramalho made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 16th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abel Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. In the 31st minute of the game Moises Gayoso made a throw-in which Alonso Berganza played forward. Reinaldo Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alonso Berganza made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ricart Futebol Clube's Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer. Moises Gayoso made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Ricart Futebol Clube's Reinaldo Palmeira. The supporters of Ricart Futebol Clube booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonso Berganza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abel Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. Andres Ekhi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Milagros Fraga in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Abel Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Noboa was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. The supporters of Peru booed when Ricart Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Olisadebe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doron Bantz made a great header on Ricart Futebol Clube's corner, it was just that Peru's Rolando Noboa managed to reach the ball for a save. 61 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Ramalho came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andres Ekhi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Abel Ramalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ricart Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori was substituted for Abel Ramalho. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Reinaldo Palmeira. Andres Ekhi made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Milagros Fraga sent off a good shot on target. Rafael Gallo scored 3-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andres Ekhi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 92nd match minute, Ricart Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hans-Jürgen Beckenbauer to maneuver through the defense. Andres Ekhi came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Rafael Gallo. But to his dismay, Rafael Gallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
