The supporters of Atlético Capixaba booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Wiliam Perez came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wiliam Perez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 3-0 in the 33 minute of play. After 42 minutes, Salvador Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Atlético Capixaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Salvador Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Charles de Brito tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
