Los Liquisue FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Uwe Septinius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Los Liquisue FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Egoitz hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Los Liquisue FC's Uwe Septinius got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Uwe Septinius threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Uwe Septinius made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Los Liquisue FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play.
