Inocencio Felipo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. If Orlando Orlando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. Xurxo Cladera hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Inocencio Felipo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Orlando Orlando to make the kick off. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Orlando couldn't finish the play. With his leg Inocencio Felipo managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 85th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Orlando Eneche made a great header on One Piece FC's corner, it was just that Ecuador's Julio Vera managed to reach the ball for a save. After having played for 91 minutes, Orlando Orlando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. One Piece FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Orlando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
