The supporters of Venezuela booed when Talento Futebol clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mito Mesías didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes Talento Futebol clube got a freekick which was hit by Fraco Zago. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Arne Delin, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. A hard shot by Fraco Zago from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Jonathan Ferrant's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Souza saved Talento Futebol clube from getting behind. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gualter Proença took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 21 minutes, Fraco Zago mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Talento Futebol clube and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. 27 minutes into the game, one of Talento Futebol clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Talento Futebol clube's goalkeeper José Maria Souza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Abdulaziz Onsoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Abdulaziz Onsoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Maria Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abdulaziz Onsoy was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Maria Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 60 minutes, Abdulaziz Onsoy made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Maria Souza having to make a save. In the 78th minute, Carlinhos Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Talento Futebol clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Velasco in the 81st minute of the match. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
