Resistencia's Haroldo Frances played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Sarmiento in the 29th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Tomas Berganza put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Haroldo Frances. Haroldo Frances was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Resistencia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Panama were winning 0-7.

Haroldo Frances was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alex Cambeiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-10 in the 68 minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Resistencia's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Haroldo Frances reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abraham Alguacil who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Haroldo Frances when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 94 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Haroldo Frances, 0-14. Tomas Berganza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Panama could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Resistencia throughout the match.
