In the 8th minute, Epifanio Orkatz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Orkatz in the 13th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stanley Wallace struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Luciano Azeari didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curacao. 21 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Cuarto came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Orkatz in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 25th match minute, Curacao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lochlan Newman to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Orkatz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bruno Barrett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Curacao's Rocco Owen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rocco Owen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Curacao protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rocco Owen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Curacao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Barrilete Cósmico:s goal. Bruno Barrett had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Marciano Rey's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The supporters of Curacao booed when Barrilete Cósmico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Mundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Barrilete Cósmico were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanley Wallace to strike the kick off in the second half. If Marshall Graham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Orkatz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Barrilete Cósmico booed when Curacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanley Wallace didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Lochlan Newman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Barrilete Cósmico's Epifanio Orkatz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bruno Barrett. That made the score 0-3 after 67 minutes of play. Curacao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Jonatan Salvatore scored to the left of an out of position Bruno Barrett, making the score, 0-4. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Orkatz in the 74th minute of the match. After 75 minutes, Victoriano Jakes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrilete Cósmico and the Curacao players grew even worse after the yellow card. 75 minutes into the game, one of Barrilete Cósmico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonatan Cuarto got free with Bruno Barrett in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 91st match minute, Barrilete Cósmico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Mundo to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the game, Kyle Davies was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Curacao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barrilete Cósmico the free kick. If Epifanio Orkatz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Epifanio Orkatz rounded Curacao's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5.
