In the 12th minute J.J J.J. shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paco Zamora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serkan Kocaman in the 17th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's goal looked a bit too open when Yao Kun Lei came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Gürsel Aksel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexsandro Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Paco Zamora proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY O.Z. from getting a goal against them. Baki Koyas kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Gürsel Aksel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Paco Zamora made a huge save. After 40 minutes GALATASARAY O.Z.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Borys Budarz who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by J.J J.J. in the 46th minute of play forced Basmane Texas's goalkeeper Franco Armani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gürsel Aksel made a kick off. Franco Armani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexsandro Romero's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the GALATASARAY O.Z. defense, Gürsel Aksel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paco Zamora. The GALATASARAY O.Z. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paco Zamora should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Basmane Texas's goal looked a bit too open when Yao Kun Lei came free, but Franco Armani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ludomir Domin in the 64th minute. The corner led GALATASARAY O.Z.'s Ludomir Domin to fire away a dangerous shot which Franco Armani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gürsel Aksel in the 69th minute of play forced GALATASARAY O.Z.'s goalkeeper Paco Zamora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yao Kun Lei received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franco Armani came out and tried to block the shot, but Yao Kun Lei slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 88th minute. Basmane Texas's Ignatios Ksiromeritis was substituted for Gürsel Aksel. In the 95th minute Ignatios Ksiromeritis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paco Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 96 played minutes GALATASARAY O.Z. got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Torreira. After 97 played minutes, Basmane Texas's Ulvi Gencal shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paco Zamora came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Basmane Texas reached it. GALATASARAY O.Z.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
