The audience was convinced that Adan Otsoko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Borges was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 14th minute Almeyra F.C. were awarded a corner. Victorio Sabino went to the cornerflag to take it. Almeyra F.C.'s Adan Otsoko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Romeu Borges in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristo Colas made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Válter Lopes sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st minute of the match Almeyra F.C. got a corner. Barra EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Victorio Sabino ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Almeyra F.C.'s corner Victorio Sabino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Romeu Borges quite easily take care of the ball. Celedonio Xabat hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Dênis Fantini sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Almeyra F.C.'s Cristo Colas didn't even have to move. Romeu Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Otsoko in the 24th minute of play. Cristo Colas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válter Lopes in the 28th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Roger Cearense heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Adan Otsoko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Borges having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Adan Otsoko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Borges was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Almeyra F.C.'s Cristo Colas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Almeyra F.C. from getting a goal against them. If Adan Otsoko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 47th minute Adan Otsoko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Barra EC's Válter Lopes in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Almeyra F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute, Adan Otsoko made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Borges. Barra EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Barra EC's zone, Danilo Remir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Borges came out of the goal and Danilo Remir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Saverio Locaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Borges having to interfere. Cristo Colas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válter Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Otsoko in the 67th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Romeu Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Almeyra F.C.'s Danilo Remir got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Barra EC's Válter Lopes in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Romeu Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adan Otsoko, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After a rather tough play, Almeyra F.C.'s Danilo Remir got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Almeyra F.C. made a substitution. Braulio Txanton replaced Adan Otsoko. Romeu Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Txanton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
