Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Luiz Souto in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Barra EC's Ismael Paraense got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remy Sanderson in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute Válter Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Saiko FC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Jairo Trancoso hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Souto in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Sabóia saved Saiko FC from getting behind. The corner ended in Pedro Luiz Souto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Saiko FC's Zé Sabóia did a great save. The audience was convinced that Ismael Paraense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Sabóia was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. In the 33rd minute Pedro Luiz Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseu Fonseca made a kick off. Jairo Trancoso hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The supporters of Barra EC booed when Saiko FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Bati didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Paraense in the 58th minute of play forced Saiko FC's goalkeeper Zé Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Romeu Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walmir Garcia made a great header on Saiko FC's corner, it was just that Barra EC's Romeu Borges managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 88thth minute of the game Eliseu Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barra EC's Romeu Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th match minute, Barra EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luiz Souto to maneuver through the defense. Saiko FC's Eliseu Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
