After 7 played minutes Ricart Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Olisadebe. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Ricart Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Andres Ekhi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the Ricart Futebol Clube defense, Rafael Gallo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andres Ekhi. The Ricart Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andres Ekhi should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Peru players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
