Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. LA MAQUINA F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Higinio Porfiro quite easily take care of the ball. When Higinio Romero fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LA MAQUINA F.C's protests and gave Higinio Romero a yellow card for diving instead. In the 12th match minute, LA MAQUINA F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Higinio Romero to maneuver through the defense. Higinio Porfiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 22nd minute, Camilo Gisbert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to LA MAQUINA F.C getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Santo Colas hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Camilo Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. LA MAQUINA F.C's Rigoberto Turi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rigoberto Turi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. With a little luck, LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Savion kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rigoberto Turi in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rigoberto Turi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. LA MAQUINA F.C's Bohuslav Plachetka was substituted for Santo Colas. LA MAQUINA F.C's Joel Min was substituted for Isidoro Playo. Raimundo Savion kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Higinio Porfiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rigoberto Turi in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute LA MAQUINA F.C were awarded a corner. Sokol Gyurkovski went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, LA MAQUINA F.C's Rigoberto Turi got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 83rd minute of play. Loco Borja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when LA MAQUINA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Alberto Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
