After 30 minutes, Ademar de Godoi made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Joshua Garrido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Önder Kamuran having to interfere. When Uluç Erben fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GERMİYAN SK's protests and gave Uluç Erben a yellow card for diving instead. Uluç Erben hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Uluç Erben hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
