An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Lara in the 4th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victor Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. A.J. 韩文海 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Benjamin Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th play minute Benjamin Lara came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. 1-0. Benjamin Lara struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joinville Esporte Clube. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Lara in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Benjamin Lara notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 43rd minute, Benjamin Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serginho Busquets hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Joinville Esporte Clube's Benjamin Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Lara in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes Uruguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Júnior Zanette who took care of the corner kick. Victor Sena's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Joinville Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Victor Sena. Joinville Esporte Clube made a substitution. Jerry Uchiha replaced Benjamin Lara. In the 62nd match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Sena to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerry Uchiha in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 69thth minute of the game Jerry Uchiha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joinville Esporte Clube's A.J. 韩文海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 70th minute of play. In the 77th minute Jerry Uchiha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amauri Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 82 minutes, Jerry Uchiha made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Amauri Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. A.J. 韩文海 made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Jerry Uchiha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Arturo Carvallo hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
