Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Pedro Manzanares successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 40th minute, Abram Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Axel Montenegro put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Lionel 柯景义. Lionel 柯景义 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

In the 54th minute Zhu Xiao Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Colombia's Axel Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lionel 柯景义 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Brasiliense FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Axel Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Lionel 柯景义, making the score, 2-4. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhu Xiao Yang in the 71st minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brasiliense FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raimundo Batista in the 73rd minute. Lionel 柯景义 was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Abram Secada showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-5 in the 75 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Lionel 柯景义 in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abram Secada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Alves hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Lionel 柯景义 in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Colombia booed when Brasiliense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrão Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Zhu Xiao Yang came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
