Christian Orlan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 19 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Udo Nigula came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Honduras defense, Jorge Pires kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. The Honduras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lautaro Navarro should have stopped the shot. After 27 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Ocampo. After having played for 28 minutes, Leo Iigo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leo Iigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Udo Nigula, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Caetano Saad scored 1-3 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Udo Nigula, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Jhon Arias in the 42nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Sebastian Villa. After 44 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Emil Fărcășan made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 47th minute Udo Nigula shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

In the 51st minute of the match, Udo Nigula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lautaro Navarro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 55 minutes, Mauricio Bitxintxo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CE LAJEADENSE RS and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 56 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Bitxintxo. Christian Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 59th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Caetano Saad took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Bater Palma replaced Udo Nigula. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jhon Arias, made in the 69th minute of the game. Christian Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bater Palma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute CE LAJEADENSE RS were awarded a corner. Bater Palma went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Bater Palma got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lautaro Navarro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anísio Koehler's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 75 minutes, Lautaro Navarro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 82 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Christian Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bater Palma in the 84th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lautaro Navarro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Orlan having to interfere. Leo Iigo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CE LAJEADENSE RS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
