Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Daniel Zorita made the kick off and thus started the match. After 3 played minutes CD Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Mosen Colillas. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 4th minute of play forced CD Municipal's goalkeeper George Forsyth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when CD Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aureliano Buendia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-0. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Enrique Cassaretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Municipal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Enrique Cassaretto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 32nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mosen Colillas hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Forsyth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho scored 4-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Forsyth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Enrique Cassaretto sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

53 minutes into the game, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. 60 minutes into the match, Enrique Cassaretto notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CD Municipal made a substitution. Oalo Dean replaced Zlatan Molina. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. George Forsyth came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 6-2 in the 69th minute. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Ryota Miyagi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Oalo Dean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oalo Dean's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. Ryota Miyagi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. The corner led CD Municipal's Lucas Huidobro to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oalo Dean, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
