The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Mugurel Zota in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mugurel Zota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona scored 0-4 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mugurel Zota, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cercadinho.
