Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dre Schipmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sílvio Luiz de Godoi was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Club Mavericks's players had a chance to rest. Sílvio Luiz de Godoi made a great header on Sport Club Mavericks's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. Sílvio Luiz de Godoi shot a long shot in the 13th minute and a light blocked Jonathan Ferrant hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-1. 18 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Dre Schipmans came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sport Club Mavericks's Marcelo Gröhe got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Dre Schipmans cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guillermo Mariano made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Fernando Lucas. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fernando Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fernando Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guillermo Mariano made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Fernando Lucas. When Sport Club Mavericks's Dre Schipmans in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dre Schipmans in the 34th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Dre Schipmans sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. 43 minutes into the match, Sport Club Mavericks's Dre Schipmans sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Patricio Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Lopez in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Zézinho Lopez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zézinho Lopez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Arnaldo Baiano hit a great ball. Sport Club Mavericks's Zhuo Yin Hong was substituted for Dre Schipmans. Sport Club Mavericks made a substitution. Bater Noppe replaced Conrado Sanches. After 62 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Baiano. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhuo Yin Hong in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Zhuo Yin Hong had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zhuo Yin Hong was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 73rd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gröhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sport Club Mavericks's Arnaldo Baiano quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 78th minute of the game. The throw-in from Alex Chicote in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Club Mavericks's Arnaldo Baiano. Marcelo Gröhe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sport Club Mavericks's Arnaldo Baiano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Salvador Gisbert in the 90 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhuo Yin Hong in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. A throw-in in the 96th minute of the game was made by Alex Chicote with Jose Correa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Sport Club Mavericks players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
