Nacho Gonzalez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristen Spoelberghe in the 3rd minute of the match. A collision led to KFC Welden getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Vincent Dejonghe hit a great ball. Luisinho Laguna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the El Gallo de Moron defense, Jose Van Eyken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. The El Gallo de Moron fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho Gonzalez should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute Jose Van Eyken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nacho Gonzalez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the game, Luisinho Laguna recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gillis Degens. Luisinho Laguna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After 19 played minutes, El Gallo de Moron's Vanja Džaferović shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gillis Degens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Gallo de Moron reached it. 20 minutes into the match, El Gallo de Moron's goal looked a bit too open when Wouter Gijselinckx came free, but Nacho Gonzalez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wouter Gijselinckx's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The corner led KFC Welden's Jose Van Eyken to fire away a dangerous shot which Nacho Gonzalez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, El Gallo de Moron's Teofilo Garrote got a free kick in the 38th minute. Vincent Dejonghe got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fernand De Spiegeleire. Luisinho Laguna hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent De Vadder in the 45th minute of play forced El Gallo de Moron's goalkeeper Nacho Gonzalez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Vincent Dejonghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wouter Gijselinckx to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to El Gallo de Moron getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Sándor Fenyvessy hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kristen Spoelberghe got free with Nacho Gonzalez in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Garrote kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Wouter Gijselinckx took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nacho Gonzalez. Nacho Gonzalez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. El Gallo de Moron made a substitution. Jimeno Mikolas replaced Allan Schubert. Nacho Gonzalez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Dejonghe in the 71st minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC Welden's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Teofilo Garrote was slow to take the kick. During this time El Gallo de Moron's players had a chance to rest. The corner led El Gallo de Moron's Teofilo Garrote to fire away a dangerous shot which Gillis Degens despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kristen Spoelberghe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Nacho Gonzalez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. El Gallo de Moron's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henri-Xavier Van den Dries in the 80th minute of play. Nacho Gonzalez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jose Van Eyken in the 81st minute. KFC Welden's Gillis Degens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Laguna in the 84th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
