With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rolando Noboa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Liviu Terzian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa came out and tried to block the shot, but Liviu Terzian slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 38th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xande Campbell. The audience thought a goal was coming when Afonso da Cunha got free with Rolando Noboa in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso da Cunha made a kick off. After 55 played minutes CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by David Brás. The supporters of Peru booed when CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luz Tejedor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludomil Ziomkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. 86 minutes into the game, Sahnoyan Ayyıldız threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Alonso Berganza quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludomil Ziomkowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peru's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ had won, even though Peru had held more of the ball.
