Mariano Lacasas short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Wachirapong Wattanachinda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a little luck, Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chile were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Clube do Remo MZ's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baal Grunberg in the 87th minute of the match. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 92nd minute of play. Baal Grunberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Chile's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
