Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silverio Lluterio in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Lluterio came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match Honduras got a corner. La Candela FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Despite this Ramiro Gabrio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmundo Espiga made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silverio Lluterio in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 minutes Honduras's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Despite this Lautaro Navarro quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 77th minute of play forced La Candela FC's goalkeeper Ramiro Gabrio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro stood somewhat misplaced when Damian Servando came free in front of goal and shot 1-6 to the left of him in the 79 minute.
