The corner led Mexico's Joel Gaona to fire away a dangerous shot which João Carlos Andrade despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carlos Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Futuros FC booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Tafalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th match minute, Futuros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Furtado to maneuver through the defense.
