Marco Tamayo's late challenge caught a ALIANZA 1901's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Tamayo helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Escobar in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to ALIANZA 1901 getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Zarbonin Riesco hit a great ball. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Luis Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ALIANZA 1901's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nazario Ispuzua in the 20th minute. In the 26th minute, Alfredo Tomasini made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 28th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Escobar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Zorita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, ALIANZA 1901's Luis Escobar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 42nd minute, Luis Escobar made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abram Luque during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 45th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. After the first half ALIANZA 1901 were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 50 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Valentino Ferrant. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. In the 54th minute Richie Ason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute, Luis Escobar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alfredo Tomasini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Lorenzo Yepes hit a great ball. After 61 minutes of play, ALIANZA 1901's Alfredo Tomasini made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! 64 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luis Escobar. In the 65th minute, Richie Ason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save El Salvador from getting a goal against them. ALIANZA 1901's Luis Escobar managed to work through El Salvador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Luis Escobar dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 68 minutes into the match, Alfredo Tomasini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ricardo Zorita, 0-7. When Moises Fernandino came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Fernandino couldn't finish the play. 75 minutes into the match, Luis Escobar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardo Zorita. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Escobar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Zarbonin Riesco made in the 78th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 86th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zarbonin Riesco made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant. In the 92nd minute, Richie Ason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luis Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. ALIANZA 1901's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
