In the 3rd minute Finlay Stair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Lencastre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Lamego came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Lencastre was out of position in the 6 minute of play, and Finlay Stair capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Finlay Stair really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Demonde Jacobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albertino Lameiras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Leron Sale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romon Oliver fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Lencastre having to interfere. Finlay Stair could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Armindo Lencastre made a huge save. Karlus Waugh struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Armindo Lencastre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamaica. Finlay Stair hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Jamaica's Armindo Lencastre threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karlus Waugh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 32 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Wayan Freeman. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Leron Sale hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Karlus Waugh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armindo Lencastre. F.C. Valinor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karlus Waugh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Correia in the 41st minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Afonso Bulhosa notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Finlay Stair to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 51st minute of play forced F.C. Valinor's goalkeeper Armindo Lencastre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jamaica getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Kordal Duff hit a great ball. After some careless play in the F.C. Valinor defense, Karlus Waugh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Lencastre. The F.C. Valinor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Lencastre should have stopped the shot. In the 65th minute, Finlay Stair got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jamaall Padmore hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romon Oliver in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Lencastre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armindo Lencastre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romon Oliver in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romon Oliver in the 78th minute of play forced F.C. Valinor's goalkeeper Armindo Lencastre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sérgio Lamego in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Jamaica booed when F.C. Valinor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Ponte didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Finlay Stair came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Jamaica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Finlay Stair couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Romon Oliver got a free kick in the 90th minute.
