Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alejandro Papaggelatos in the 37th minute of the match. After 41 minutes of play, La Armada Buscapina's Alejandro Papaggelatos made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Anthony Alvarado hit a great ball. Peru's Luz Tejedor got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Alejandro Papaggelatos made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Alejandro Papaggelatos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Julian Murillo. In the 53rd minute, Efraim Gilabert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match La Armada Buscapina got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Esteban Cambiasso ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Armada Buscapina's corner Esteban Cambiasso fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chupan Moco was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Julian Murillo sped through La Armada Buscapina's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Chupan Moco. After a rather tough play, La Armada Buscapina's Elano Negro got a free kick in the 70th minute. La Armada Buscapina's Denílson Ronaldinho was substituted for Alejandro Papaggelatos. With his leg Chupan Moco managed to avoid a goal in the 82ndth minute, when Peru's Julian Murillo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by La Armada Buscapina's Denílson Ronaldinho. But to his dismay, Denílson Ronaldinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. After a rather tough play, La Armada Buscapina's Elano Negro got a free kick in the 90th minute. Chupan Moco was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rafael Gallo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 92 minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denílson Ronaldinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Peru could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than La Armada Buscapina throughout the match.
