The crowd rose to their feet as Tomás Gaizko kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Day. That made the score 1-0 in the 23 minute of play. Jacob May made in the 27th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Correla q va en Chancleta's Robin van Persie. Tomás Gaizko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Gaizko in the 28th minute of play. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. Saad Man showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 40th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Raphael Moore in the 43rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Correla q va en Chancleta's Jorge Paez. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. The supporters of USA booed when Correla q va en Chancleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Pavieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Correla q va en Chancleta players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
