Jaime Pardo took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oscar Pereira. Oscar Pereira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 81st minute of play forced Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goalkeeper Oscar Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Linares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Oscar Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 88th minute of play. Paraguay walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
