Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Axel Tasis kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Geraldo Linares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Geraldo Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's Vânderson Teles shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 6th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benito Sanz but with some difficulty. In the 8th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélio Martins hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Elder Lara lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 12 played minutes Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร got a freekick which was hit by Elder Lara. In the 13th minute of the match Axel Tasis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Pereira skillfully saved the ball. Oscar Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vânderson Teles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Conrado Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Conrado Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 22 played minutes Bernardinho Borges rounded Costa Rica's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Oscar Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Puig, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After 29 played minutes Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Borges. Bernardinho Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a free kick in the 40th minute. Mário Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Perivaldo Brito during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, one of Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร. In the 61st minute, Eliseo Noboa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Oscar Pereira. The goal made the score 1-2. A collision led to Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hélio Martins hit a great ball. Costa Rica's Juan Rubio shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 81st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Oscar Pereira but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oscar Pereira saved Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร from getting behind. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. In the 86th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Borges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Enio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
