Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jaime Pardo kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Waldir da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Pardo. Paraguay were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after CE LAJEADENSE RS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Pardo took the corner. After taking down the ball on Paraguay's corner Jaime Pardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waldir da Mata quite easily take care of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Waldir da Mata in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Waldir da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Waldir da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CE LAJEADENSE RS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Hector Covarrubias scored to the left of an out of position Waldir da Mata, making the score, 1-0. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Paraguay's Jaime Pardo in the 20th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Waldir da Mata was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for CE LAJEADENSE RS through an amazing save. After some careless play in the CE LAJEADENSE RS defense, Hector Covarrubias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waldir da Mata. The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir da Mata should have stopped the shot. Jaime Pardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in CE LAJEADENSE RS's zone, Jaime Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldir da Mata came out of the goal and Jaime Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Jose Sanz in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Diego Tenorio during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Diego Tenorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldir da Mata came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Paraguay's Jaime Pardo. But to his dismay, Jaime Pardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 43rd minute, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Jose Sanz charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Sanz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Jose Sanz got a free kick in the 45th minute. Waldir da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Váldson Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Waldir da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Covarrubias in the 59th minute of play forced CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Waldir da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 60th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Diego Tenorio to maneuver through the defense. Waldir da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Escribano in the 63rd minute of play. Cléber de Souza's late challenge caught a Paraguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléber de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Cléber de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Prats fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir da Mata having to interfere. Waldir da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Waldir da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Diego Tenorio in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. Waldir da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 86th minute of the match. Paraguay's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaime Pardo in the 87th minute. Waldir da Mata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hector Covarrubias went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Waldir da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Cléber de Souza got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Cléber de Souza off the ground. Cléber de Souza hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Paraguay fully deserved thier win.
