An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 9th minute of play forced Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's goalkeeper Aníbal Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's Carlos García got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos García in the 40th minute of play. Joshua Garrido made in the 41st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's Hernan Abancens. Abram Sarmiento scored 0-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aníbal Berger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Pedro Manzanares came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sportivo Loren-Delfrajo's Carlos Alberto Nebbia. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Nebbia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Aníbal Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Abram Sarmiento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abram Sarmiento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
