After 9 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Robert Serwacki who took care of the corner kick. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s Guilherme Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 11th minute of play. Julian Murillos short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Guilherme Zanette to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Durval Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Durval Aparecido notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the game, Eugênio Novaes threw the ball into play from the sideline. The coaching staff of ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Zhao Yang had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Guilherme Zanette had in the 45thth minute some difficulties stopping Luz Tejedor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When Haryanto Haryanto-Ie fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s protests and gave Haryanto Haryanto-Ie a yellow card for diving instead. ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆'s André Luís Zanette was substituted for Durval Aparecido. A collision led to ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Haryanto Haryanto-Ie hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ☆ PERÓXIDOS ☆ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
